My bitcoin (original) client has stopped working under Win XP today with a message saying it can't load Blkindex.dat.
After saving my wallet.dat and uninstall/install cycle, bitcoin will not start anyway (same message again)
Any idea what's going on ?

Simply delete the files (save wallet.dat first) !!
