Hi guys!
I use Bitcoin-Qt but as the blockchain gets bigger, the RAM usage is high, I decided to migrate to electurm.
I imported my private keys to Electrum, and now I have my old addresses back in Electrum.
But my balance is still 0 BTC .
Any idea how to update my balance?

Thanks in advance

You might need to rescan.  I can't remember the command, maybe try switching servers will do it?

Switching servers like cp1 said or restarting the client will update the balance. But you should rethink your approach to this migration. The main advantage behind Electrum is that you've got a 12 word seed that is the basis of all your electrum addresses. This means you only need to backup that 12 word seed on paper. But if you use imported private keys you need to backup those as well. So it is better to instead transfer your entire balance to an electrum main wallet address and not use imported private keys with electrum. You can always keep your bitcoin qt installation around in case someone reuses an old address to send you money.

Ok, thank you guys, it's ok now!,  and as for the seed, I will backup my wallet.
I will uninstall bitcoin-qt , as the reason why I migrated to electrum was that Bitcoin-Qt was resource intensive. Roll Eyes

Thank you!   Smiley
