The effort to make the transcript is appreciated - but is there any reason to be putting *accents* into it?
No pay to keep me engaged. Turning speech into more of a caricature provides the engagement, instead. I think it helps in accurately determining inflection, too. More the engagement, though.

Grin You must've missed the first draft I put up before going over it again. Liz: ... so we want people to be encouraged to jump in and share ideas in the BTC marketplace, whether it's for soft porn development, or communication, or how we get off on the message.

If it were live captions, that's what would've shown up for people with CC on.  Cheesy

Will finish transcribing & edits tonight, give LTB a no-fun version while fun version will stay here. Won't start in on it for ~4hours, until daughter's in bed.

ETA: @ qwk, it takes me ~5x as long to accurately transcribe something as there is audio length. .1BTC/ep is still basically free work when they're 30-60m each. Maybe there's someone else who can do it in real-time or near real-time who'd take it up - definitely people faster than me. I don't do it often. Idunno - I've bitched about their lack of transcriptions before. I guess I'll do it for tips over the next couple months if I still can't find replacement FT work.

ETA2: Actually... it'd be a lot cheaper/efficient in these cases to actually do text interviews, then re-enact them on audio. Would make the audio version more efficient, too. (no "umms," corrections, cut-offs, miscommunications)

I know, I sometimes feel a little cheap for my low bounties. On the other hand, for myself, such a transcript wouldn't even be worth 0.001 BTC, so I'm actually overpaying by a factor of 100, and that's all I'm willing to give. Try to see it as an incentive rather than as a payment.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

Homogenized version finished. http://pastebin.com/kGAY4mU6

(too long for a forum post, both because it'd take up the entire screen of those maybe uninterested, and by hard forum limitation)
(I also am quite fond of Bjork, which I wasn't expecting.)

Wow, that was a really good debate! All of the candidates did very well. Much better than any debate I've seen.

Joerg and Trace seem to want the Foundation to be in charge of development at some level, which I find very dangerous for any legally-defined organization to do.  I'd prefer the Foundation to be totally uninvolved in Bitcoin-Qt development and focus more on legal stuff, behaving more like the NRA or EFF. It'd also dangerous for one US-based Foundation to act as some sort of oversight organization for many Bitcoin Foundations worldwide; the Foundation should help international organizations, but each organization should be separate in order to maximize decentralization. Elizabeth said some nice things in these areas.

I wish someone would have corrected Trace when he was complaining about the Foundation taking money from people and then removing them from bitcoin.org: The Foundation has nothing to do with bitcoin.org, so this is a ridiculous complaint.

I liked most of what Elizabeth, Ben, and Luke said here. I'd be satisfied if any of them won, though I think that Elizabeth is the best candidate.

I will vote today.
