I think LaLaWorld tries the same thing, but I'm not exactly sure what the point of these banks or being your personal bank is. Is my Nano Ledger S a bank? I mean I store my money in it, thats basically functionallity number 1 of a bank. The financial services, I can get those elsewhere besides banks.
On the contrary to the points you have made I have personally researched BABB ICO and I think its a solid project.
The lager percentage of the World's population is still unbanned which limits individuals, small and medium businesses too.
Small and medium businesses are the backbone of every economy and developing a way where this unbanked portion of the economy can be is a great innovation.
The limitations of traditional banks can be tackled with blockchain tech so why not ride the wave and welcome this great project?
I certainly would love to see how it works when fully implemented.
