Outside Silicon Valley, companies are dipping a tentative toe into AI. Surveys show that most companies plan to evaluate how artificial intelligence can make them better. Budgets could more than triple in the next few years.

AI will be one of the biggest industries in the global economy within a number of decades. The potential is too huge for it not to be the case. AI can make the world an infinitely better place in terms of productivity (I won't say better overall because that's subjective) and so huge huge money will flow in to it. We're already seeing a lot of technology replace 'human' jobs and that will only increase with the development and introduction of sophisticated AI.
