But I was surprised that the market didn't react to the news.
Perhaps the bear market has arrived, and no good news can cause the market to rise.
I think that we need to hear more good news , so we can balance out the bad news. I still think that this bear market won’t last for long time though, and we will reach the January prices again in a couple of months.

Hello, I think ICO legalization is the best way to stimulate the development of blockchain technologies and effectively regulate cryptotrading

The other countries should follow what Paris is going to implement. Legalizing ICO will provide every country's people the chance to earn and use cryptos for their convenience. This will also prevent scammers and hackers from manipulating the digital currency world.

This is promising news seeing that more and more countries are "legalizing" crypto especially in the EU. However, I will preach caution as Legalizing does not equal Regulating. After legalization, the same governments can regulate the crypto space to suit their advantage which could be not what most crypto enthusiast in this community would accept.

That is good news for the crypto community, looks like they have realised that blockchain is the way forward and icos are a good way to achieve funds for startups, i hope they will have a close look at bad guys as well.

I wonder why the government of France do it. Especially since they did not quite do it in time, now ICO will gradually lose its former popularity

Paris cannot legalize nor make anything illegal, is just a city. It is always on the lookout for new projects but it simply can´t compete with London and Newyork due to the french lame politics.

If Paris is successful, I think there will be many other cities that will follow suit. I hope this can be realized soon and not just news.

Market has driven by manipulators. AMF is really different with SEC, after i read the whole of the article regarding regulation of ICO in the Paris. I have gotten some points about that. The existing ICO that still on its operation will not be banned or halted. But new ico will have needed to complete all of the requirements to get licensed from AMF.

That means the existing ico project in Paris will be fine. But new icos should give guarantees to the investors.

Another good news, looks like the tide will reverse anytime soon. This is a good decision that made by France. Now every country realize that they need to catch up with the trend before they left behind by other nation that embrace cryptocurrency. I hope they find a way to regulate and separate the good and the bad or scam ICO.

This is very good for the country. But as always, the pros and cons will be divided into two parts and there will be debate about how profitable it is for the country as a whole.

This is a game of chicken. Regulators call upon the G20 to coordinate cryptocurrency regulation, because individual countries can't decide it on their own. No country wants to lose out on the next Silicon Valley, the next Apple, Google or Amazon. I think it'll be very hard for them to reach consensus. Maybe they will reach a compromise, but eventually countries who want to benefit from the opportunities will try to cheat.

as I think that this is actually very useful for the country but wherever there will always be pros and cons there is no such thing as one opinion because indeed if there is profit there is also a loss so there is always a difference. opinion and according to my best way to decide all this is with take the most votes

Legalization of the cryptocurrencies and the regulation of the market of cryptocurrencies are two different things. But in any case, the news is positive, although not significant.

It’s a good news that France going to legalize crypto.
It will be a positive step and hope other countries also follow it.

If some governments involve in it then there will be monitoring funds & there would be no miss use of crypto currency.

In France there have always been very high taxes and the government adheres to leftist views. In contrast to Singapore, Hong Kong and Switzerland, the French have a very poor level of economic freedom. If you open The Index of Economic Freedom 2018, you will see that France is 71st. Even Azerbaijan and Albania are doing better.
