Ripple the company with its blockchain software products, and Ripple(XRP) are separate entities. Investors may not be aware that the success of the company or its blockchain is not in anyway connected to the success of the tokens. In other word investors who buy XRP thinking that they are investing in the potential of Ripple blockchain are making wrongful assumption which could result in disastrous outcome. Also please note that the Ripple Co 's blockchain software products only the X-Rapid uses XRP as bridge currency to transfer and help settle fund, however most customers are quite wary of using XRP due to its volatility . The other two blockchain software products X-Current, and X-Via which has similar function as X-Rapid, could use fiat or any other crypto currencies for fund transfer.
