Happy mining all,

having recently built a 5 x NVIDIA 1080ti rig and experimented with different coins and miners, I thought it's time to share what I achieved and failed at mining altcoins with you.

In short summary, ZCASH turned out to be the most profitable coin for me followed by ETH. Monero (Cryptonight) seems to work most efficently in terms of GPU load; but it takes ages to mine...

I share my google sheet with you. There you can find all the experiments I tried with further mining details and OC configurations. I'm eager to hear your comments.

That’s true Sad 0.28€ cents per kWh from Greenpeace Energy... I’m planning a wind turbine investment though. It’s quite windy up here in Hamburg...

Readers, if you have new altcoin suggestions that works profitable with 1080ti cards, post it here and I can run the test on my rig and publish the results...

I'm planning to test Allium, X11, and Lyra2z soon.

Thanks Pablo! Looking forward to your results. Also would be good to know your miner settings and the pool ;-)

You should try some neoscrypt coins. Neoscrypt is very high at whattomine last days. I mined neoscrypt at ahashpool and hashrefinery before i moved to equihash and it wasnt so bad. Thinking about comeback, but my calculations still says there is not good pool for neoscrypt Sad

Btw ccminer-klaust was the best for my nvidia cards on neoscrypt

Yeah, hard to find an established coin too. I mined Feathercoin and the results like this:

Miner                   Pool                                   Coin               GPU Temp.   Power output (watt)

ccminer cuda9.1   ftc-tx.hashing.space:19327   Feathercoin              ~71   1340
ccminer sp-mod           ftc-tx.hashing.space:19327   Feathercoin          ~62   990
ccminer cuda9.1   ftc-tx.hashing.space:19327   Feathercoin          ~71   1328

Vivo-coin could be an idea as https://crypt0.zone/calculator/s/piirago0 suggests
