MERIT SYSTEM

As a lower rank like me merit system has a good and bad feedback or features.

GOOD - to improved your ability to make a high quality post.
         - to make you more openminded to crypto
         - to stop shitpost maybe but not totally

BAD - make more difficult to rank up especially to lower rank or newbie
       - if some of your quality post didn't noticed and gain merit
       - you will remain to your rank if you can have some of those merits
       - some will loose hope if they can make those high quality post
       - someone who have some of those merits can take advantage to those people that want merit
       - someone can buy merits to others to avoid hardwork to gain or earn merits

BTT is full of Newbies who wanna just make some quick buck.. Just like the OP who is here just for money.. Why do people wanna rank to legendary here? You can trade BTC, Buy hardware, Add your "valuable" comments in the discussions etc even if you create a brand new account.. There are no restrictions as far as i know.. All these people here whining about merit system are those who are here for the money, they just want to rank up overnight and start to get those quick 0.005 BTC per week...

merit system introduced by bitcointalk to keep quality of the forum and avoid scams .during last 6 months there was a sudden increase of population who interested in cryptocurrency.so there were so many new bitcointalk accounts registerd daily.majority of them make them just to do airdrops and bounty.so they only aim to increase there rank on bitcointalk. with new merit system forum rank not depends only on no of posts.for rank up tlits essential to earn merits. so both number of merits and your post count will determine your rank. merits are givin by bitcointalk member for your post.if you post a high quality post which helpful to the community, community will reward you with merits.that is the way you can earn merits. main advantage is this will increase the quality of this forum and posts. but there are disadvantages too. its really difficult to build up a good rank for newbies with this merit system.its really a barrier for their whole career

Thank you for your response. So forum suffers from Newbies but registration is still free and open. Maybe BTT will provide some invite system?

There won't be any invite system that would just encourage account sales and that is not welcome here. The alternative option to rank up immediately is by donating a small amount of bitcoin to be a copper member or donate a huge amount to get the vip/donator tag ( i'm sure no one would spend this much unless your rich enough to waste a lot of money).

There's a reason why Newbies and Jr members are stuck on those ranks and not given merits. It's simply because they don't make posts/replies that are good enough for them to be given merits. How do you fix this? Easy. Study and study until you know enough to actually give advice/answers to people. That's it.

And don't tell us that "what if our quality post can't notice by others". If your answer is good, it will get noticed. Regardless of rank. Can't stress this enough.

So bounty-campaigns are the goal of that crowds of new "experts" maybe something can be changed there with signature campaigns or something, In my local board there are a lot of posts like 'want to buy Merit' and it hurts. Another strange thing that any rank account you can buy easily. Maybe that explains strange trust painting with no guilty by Hero Members.

Do you think its to easy for the newbie or jr.member rank to post a high quality post or comment. We are not pro don't be judgemental we will do our best to gain those merit we will not beg for that. We low rank just want to rank up too that's why we study,analyze,read and gain experience to this forum.

I'm sure it's not easy for newbies to a good posts, so , don't expect to rank up fast. You have to educate yourself by reading. When you will have enough knowledge to make quality posts, you will get more or less Merits. I think it's prety simple to understand.
