Hello all,
It might have already talked about this issue lot,
but it's important for me to say my opinion and maybe I'll prevent anyone new from this trouble.

I heard from a friend that there was going to be a split into Monero coin and I decided to buy a little.
I go to my Cryptopia account And I sell some Bitcoin to buy Monero and ask to withdrawal the monero to my wallet.
I get the mail and approval and everything looks fine, So far a simple action...
It was a week and a half ago!

After two days I turn to their support and do not receive a reply for more than 48 hours and after 3 days that no one answers my ticket and they close the ticket and claim in automatic response that they are in a load of withdrawals and support...(Some lie).
Let's say that they have a overload on support... but why close the client ticket?
So I open a new ticket to support And a few more days pass with no response or comment from Cryptopia.

This is not the first time I have exchanged coins with them.
So I came to the conclusion that they will not release my Monero until after the split.
I think Cryptopia are scammers that use people money And their goal is to prevent the customer from earning.

They advertise themselves as a stock exchange but operate as a casino.

I'd love to hear another opinion and hope I might have helped someone.

Have a good day.

Currently, their ticket turnaround time said 24 days on the last ticket I put in. Good thing I don't really care. But yeah, this is not the greatest exchange. I don't think you are being scammed, I just think their support is horrible. Sad  Good luck.

Edit - BTW, that coin split you speak of is a possible scam. http://translatedby.com/you/monerov-a-trap-laid-for-monero-users/original/

I saw this one one twitter:

Quote
You sound very misinformed. The MoneroV fork is not like the Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin2x forks which tried to replace the current Bitcoin implementation in order to solve a problem with the current version. MoneroV is just a money grab scamcoin trying to capitalize on the "free money" hype coming from all the Bitcoin forks. They are not solving any issues in Monero and do not intend to replace Monero (because there is literally zero chance for a scamcoin with incompetent devs to replace Monero). They hype up their shitcoin by using loads of buzzwords and promising MimbleWimble (mind you they are launching the coin but have not even started work on this). So far literally all they have done is copy Monero, fix the supply (even tho the emission curve has a purpose), and add on a premined dev tax so that they get a nice pay day for doing nothing at all.

Edit: also see this

Edit2: just to be clear, the community isn't devided. Pretty much anyone that takes a minute to research MoneroV sees that it's a scam

Then again, that guy isn't calling BCash and segwit2x scams, which they in fact were (and still are, in the case of BCash, since segwit2x is dead). They didn't try to solve anything.

I would be very wary of anything that has to do with forking an existing coin. Typically, forkers are losers that cannot create their own projects from scratch and try to profit from existing network effects. Very sad.

I'd love to hear another opinion and hope I might have helped someone.

I do not use this exchange, but for these comments:

Beware. They have not honored my Bitcoin withdrawal for 7 days so far.

I opened an account with Cryptopia 2 months ago to buy some of the alt coins. I recently tried to withdraw a very small amount of my Bitcoins by Cryptopia to different exchange’s wallet. I waited 2 days and it showed 0 confirmations. I opened a support ticket and waited 3 days and got no response. I then decided that when I get out of Cryptopia to get out altogether. It does not seem to be have the integrity that I orignally thought. I sold he rest of my altcoins to Bitcoin, made another withdrawal request to a different exchange’wallet and still after several days nothing has happened. They are holding my coins and not responding to any of 3 open tickets. I filed a complaint with the New Zealand Commerce Commission last week. I hope that I can get some releif and my Bitcoin out.

Lost BTC coin with no record at the day it was lost

Hi there, i hooe my writing can be read wisely for you all that has account in Cryptopia. I have traded few coin at Cryptopia with my basic coin BTC. Yesterday by sudden i have lost all my bitcoin and no track record where the coins gone. I could trade sell and buy eventhough the account opened, i though the system was error yesterday. I have written support tiket but very slow respond. Today i saw there is withdrawal record for yesterday transaction then i realize somebody has stolen my bitcoin. Until today no respond from cryptopia admin. Who's false is this?.....

Do not use Cryptopia

After waiting 49 minutes for a transfer of a modest 0.006 of BTC as a trial I just got instead 0.001...Cryptopia team never answered my support tickets and of course, NEVER will use that exchange, at least not in the near future or till the improve their dreadful service.

Horrible exchange
Just started using. Transferred in roughly 1000aud of bitcoin to sell into litecoin. When the transfer went through I received 1.9 lite coin which is roughly 600 aud and the rest is missing. Absolute joke of an exchange

I will stay away from them, many exchange do not render good services because they are not regulated and inspected periodically by the government. anyone creates an exchange, but that should not be acceptable... the government should impose tough measures against the exchange

I have an account also in Cryptopia and trading many times of my invested coins like BTC, ETH, and CAPP. Fortunately, i never experience transactions with them in which my deposit and withdrawals are just smooth and fine. Maybe the problem will depend upon the coin used like your Monero but still i support your claim because their support should address issues all the times for their clients.
