Earlier today, Waltonchain announced the winners of their Valentines Day giveaway campaign where winners were to receive free WTC. Shortly thereafter (in a now deleted tweet), a member of the Waltonchain team quoted the original tweet and claimed they were a winner.

I'm curious of everyone's thoughts here. Obviously, this is not very good for their marketing and as a result, WTC is down about 15% today and is one of the top losers in the top 100 marketcap. There still has yet to have been any announcement from the Waltonchain team. Where's the transparency???

Following up, it looks like there has also been a large number of users banned on the telegram and a lot of censorship on the reddit page. Not ideal for a brand image.

I was wondering about the fall. Waltonchain from the start had a lot of hype and FUD. The coin do still have a good community but it has to be seen whether where the team leads it to.

They definitely have a nice community backing, but still need to come through with a finished product. "Competitors" such as Origin Trail, Wabi and VEN may soon leave WTC behind.

I truly wonder if this is the cause of the huge red candle. I couldn't believe it. I'm watching from the sidelines - however it must have been a huge sell for that comment to be made. I'm sure there's something else we don't know.

It's almost 9am in China, so hopefully there can be an official response. Down 18% on the day right now, which actually isn't the end of the world considering most of the market is in the red today.

Per the Waltonchain Telegram mod Cryptobuff:

"Walton member won contest and was excited. Winners were picked randomly. Went to write a tweet but was accidentally logged into the wrong profile. Quickly recognized mistake and deleted in 10 seconds. A harmless error being capitalized on by competitors."

Not sure of the connection between the telegram mods and the actual WTC team. No "Official" statement has been released.

Small mistake. Shouldn't be a concern if they got a full background of surprises. RFID patent. Won awards. New logo. This is suppose to be a top 4 coin.. Still need a lot of work though.

Ethereum and Uniswap.

It's very strange that the WTC "member" who won shares the same login credentials as their Twitter manager. Is WTC giving bonuses to their staff? Seems pretty shady. They've got a lot of competition: VEN, WABI, and now UCOT, all looking for any advantage to capitalize, and WTC just handed it to them =(

This in combination with the downtrend has given us the lowest WTC price in 2.5 months.  I scooped some up Smiley

Definitely very shady business practices. The fact that an employee is allowed to enter the company’s contest is problem #1. Typically employees and their families are barred from entering contests so they dont run into miscues similar to this one.

Hopefully the Waltonchain team can pick up the pieces and learn from their mistakes here.
