Hey guys, I would like to create a currency, and if you are interested in a little bit of an experience and experiment, join me. There are already a few like us, we are at very humble beginnings and could use your help!
We are aiming to create a system that is simple, secure, accessible, fair, provides equal opportunity and does not oppress or harm any people or our environment.
Its not set yet, though here is the rationale for creating it,
DogmaOften people are stuck continuing the process of a system purely because of its legacy, and maybe there needs to be a system which is open at its core, so that it can be dogmatically versatile and open minded. We could use this base as a free pass to experiment and explore different ideas in the search for the most appropriate solution and have the same freedom and flexibility to move towards possible improvements or even implement or integrate a completely new solution, if and when necessary.
TechnologyThe technology is to be a tool for us as the people, it should serve us, not have us serve it. there are currently over 1500 currencies which are mostly open source and have relatively liberal licensing for use and copy, most encourage forks and with a community base we can identify what we want most and work to implement it. Some current surviving chains are either extremely bulky and can be an obstacle course to navigate as others are slow, tedious or expensive
Distribution"No Premine, No CEO, No ICO, No unfair distribution, No get rich quick schemes!"We sincerely to have a chain that is evenly distributed even at the beginning. there have been several different ideas for this, we need to discuss how to do this and not be vulnerable to fraud. ideally the max holders will have .03 giving the top 100 a maximum of 3% of the distribution.
There are many different ways we believe we can achieve this, if you have any ideas, please let us know
SustainabilityCreate a chain that is secure and does not harm or oppress people or our environment. One that does not have or require a leader or control of large centrally managed funds. One that is a guerilla effort always in communication with the rest of the network yet individually powerful and autonomous. Like a network of mycelium, constantly expanding and feeding and supported off its previous growth
Transparency"In secrecy there is power, in transparency there is accountability, with accountability there is responsibility, everybody wants power but who wants responsibility? "The blockchain gives us a base for transparency, though it doesn't have any control over the off chain governance and information streams, whale groups of early or big investors can trade on information from closed teams in quiet rooms while the rest of the "small fish" are in a frenzied panic. We will create an open atmosphere environment in which anyone can participate in the conversation. ofcourse this doesnt mean everyone will have the same value added to their opinion(different skills and experience to everyone) though this process is alot more natural and allows us to take advantage of all the resources in the community and also be able to steer away from obstacles etc ahead of time due to the ability of onlookers to actually see what is happening, always open behind the scenes
Usability, Accessibility A chain with a community collective focus, one which allows people to express themselves in an open forum for the best of the platform and the community as a whole, one that is built on the foundation of an appreciation of the communities importance to the success of the project. This appreciation should lead us to have a service focus, one which aims at facilitating the community needs within the ecosystem and ensures the intrinsic value through its utility and proliferation.
How will we solve this?If we can provide an environment which is positive, encouraging, rational and respectful, one that is free from censorship and is open to criticism we can essentially use this platform to express and scrutinize each others ideas and implementations.
Our ambition is to grow our community team and define our best course of action, pick the chain which is closest to our desired implementation and to go from there. If another better solution comes along, we are loyal to our desire to provide a solution and not to the solution itself, if it is in our best interests, we will move over, together, taking only our database of accounts and values.
