Overview
In a bid to:
(1) decentralize entertainment content marketplaces and check the monopolistic power of corporate platforms;
(2) ensure that creators of entertainment content can reap 100% of their earnings;
(3) ensure that consumers of entertainment content acquire platform-agnostic, permanent ownership of purchased licenses;
(4) introduce perma-verification of content to preempt license disputes;
(5) preempt grey market reselling by creating a distribution network void of circulating license keys;
(6) economically support the development of independent games across the globe;
we’re propounding the RedLink Token and the RedLink Digital Library (RedDL) distributed license management system.

RedDL is a revolutionary innovation in the way entertainment content licenses are purchased, validated and recorded. Transaction data is saved on the blockchain ledger rendering verification evergreen and therefore guaranteeing access to content. RedDL is also platform-agnostic, therefore access to content is no longer bound to a single source. RedDL provides a solution to an array of problems that have been decried by both the business and consumer ends of entertainment content marketplaces.

Communications
This is our first -- and a very early stage -- preliminary announcement intended to share a general idea of the RedLink project. We’re inviting members of the community to join this discussion and provide feedback and ideas to help tackle the issues outlined above. Our main channels of communication are Discord and Telegram. We've set up a "contributor_chat" channel on Discord where approved contributors can share their input on focused discussions regarding the development of the project. Telegram will be used for a more general chat where we intend to engage in more FAQ-style conversations. We will, of course, be very responsive within this forum.

The RedLink team is made up of gaming industry veterans and crypto enthusiasts. We have a very clear understanding of the current inefficiencies within the entertainment industry's ecosystem and we're very keen about developing a collaborative project that levels the playing field. Please feel free to ask us anything. To avoid superfluity, any of our core team members may post from this account (we'll sign off at the end of every post).

Version 0.1 of our White Paper goes into more detail about the specific problems in the digital entertainment industry and how this blockchain project can solve them. Please bear in mind that this white paper is a WIP and will go through a number of revisions leading up to our ICO.

We've decided not to bog down this PRE-ANN with technical details (please refer to the RedLink White Paper v0.1). Technical concerns that are not currently covered in the white paper will be updated in subsequent revisions.

Thanks for your time and we look forward to you joining our project and bringing it to life.

Best regards,
Al Banda
