I've found the best time to work on MyEtherWallet is later at night when the network is less congested.
Found this:
Go to Ethplorer.io
Type in the name of the token, or search to your address and click on the Token’s name there.
Note the address & decimals of this token.
In a new tab, navigate to the “Send Ether & Tokens” page on MyEtherWallet.
Unlock your wallet.
Click “Add Custom Token” down on the right side.
Enter the contract address an decimal number from Ethplorer.io.
Type in what you want to call it — the name of the coin or the symbol.
Click “Save”.
If the network is not congested, and you own the token, it will show up right away and remain there.
