Job Description
Cryptoactive Traders is an online community driven by cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Our main goal is to help others monetize their crypto portfolio by learning from and following expert traders using automated trading. (So you don’t have to spend years learning all the ropes and miss out on all the crypto gains that happen today).

We’re a fun, close group of people based in Canada, United Kingdom and The Netherlands building a community and platform in a fast, but fun pace.

We believe in a an MVP approach where we don’t necessarily reinvent the wheel, but leverage several framework and APIs to create a solid and sustainable platform that works, or will work, with (conversational) Messaging Bots (Discord, Telegram, Messenger, WeChat) and a supporting platform based on Laravel Spark.

The conversational messaging bot is implemented in Python. Your role would be to work on our platform, based on Laravel Spark. Specifically you’ll be handed out working UI/UX in which you’ll have to improve on (prototype) VueJS and/or write complete components in VueJS. Basically you have to give our platform the feel that it’s live and running smoothly. Secondly you’ll be working on the logic of the platform, serving robus API endpoints to our Python application.

Dedication to this project is up for discussion. We’re looking for someone freelance, meaning you can and may run this as a dedicated side-project.

Responsibilities
Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application
Building reusable code and libraries for future use
Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
Implementation of security and data protection
Translation of UI/UX elements to working products
Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application

Skills
Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language, most important PHP, Python is a plus
Proficient knowledge of a front-end programming language, most important VueJS
Good understanding of Laravel and Spark
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes with MySQL
Data migration, transformation, and scripting
Knowledge of PHP unit test to be incorporated in CI/CD
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests is a plus
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and Git Flow
Understanding of node package management
Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bower, Gulp and Webpack
