welcome guys to my first post so i found the other day a way to buy bitcoin in a faster way (instant) and cheaper than virwox its https://cryptovoucher.io/ i was a little skeptical at first but after trying it and i got my bitcoin i think its a better alternative than virwox so how it works is you buy a voucher which is just a code that submit in the website and get bitcoin did i mention its anonymous they have a list of websites that sell this voucher the only downside is that the voucher is in EUR which is not really a problem because there are no region restrictions i was from the US and was able to buy with no problem their is a wide variety of payments accepted and paypal is one of them (which is what i used).

Welcome to the forum with your first post. I don't have an experience with that website but it looks like it has been registered since 2017.

New services need time to get trust, especially card buying sites.
virwox is one of the most famous sites in the conversion of cryptos, especially that you can buy using payment methods such as PayPal.
I checked that site, and I find it odd to let you buy your Bitcoin gift cards using Paypal.
Generally, even if it is true there are very strange things about that site like:

 - Bitcoin price: [1 BTC 7378.56 EUR ----> source https://cryptovoucher.io] [1 BTC €6,949.78 ----> source https://coinmarketcap.com]

Interesting idea, looks legitimate, however fees are a bit much.

There's a 6% premium on their going rate of BTC/EUR, then there's 10% in taxes and fees when you actually buy the voucher, so it adds up.

At least they are upfront about everything; it doesn't look like they're trying to hide anything from you.

I'm a long-time VirWox user so thats why I checked out the link. Virwox's trading fees can be a bit hefty but they are tried-and-true so I'm going to be sticking with them.

Thanks for sharing anyway.

Yeah, I'd heard of Virwox but I can never really feel "safe" with a service that allows for voucher redemptions, if this is how I understand it to be.

One only needs to read about how apparently WEX exchange (allegedly the revived BTC-e exchange) was allowing people to redeem vouchers for Bitcoin... except that its former CEO (or someone closely linked anyway) had allegedly used his access to the code to print voucher codes and sell them for discounted prices. Couple that with the high price of Bitcoin at WEX and people believed they had found arbitrage opportunities... except withdrawals were then frozen.

NOT FUDding Virwox at all, just saying to be careful. I mean if they sell for PayPal, imagine what happens if they get hit with all those fraud chargebacks Paypal cheaters just love to do.

I've been using them for 2 years and they work like a charm, if you know how to properly place limit orders and don't mind fighting with the bots a bit.

I think the system works well: people who do bullshit chargebacks probably don't get to keep the money. VirWox probably puts up a good fight on this issue. PayPal is extremely profitable, and used everywhere. That's because they're smart about giving chargebacks.

For instance, I recently used a PayPal debit card at an ATM in a foreign country, and even though it spit out no money and the receipt said that I withdrew "$0"... "Unable to Dispense"... the amount got deducted from my PayPal. I was sweating bullets until I called PayPal and the gave me back the money almost instantly.
