ResumeChain is a blockchain based project to store Resumes over time. Resumes inside ResumeChain are immutable. Once added ResumeChain will maintain a copy of each version of resume with the timestamp. Job Seeker can set their Profile as Private or Public.A Public profile can be viewed by any employer while for Private profile employer needs to request access. The public profile is better from employers perspective but prone to spam. In case of private profile employer need to request access. This project will provide authenticity to Job Seekers and will aid Employers and background check agencies in Employee background check.
Current Scenario
Figure 1 describes the current scenario. In current scenario whenever an employer posts a good job faces the fake user profile problem. There are certain solutions like background check agencies but still, we can find many persons with fake profiles getting the job. Even background check is a very costly process. Only in the USA alone, it costs employers a huge amount of $3 billion yearly

ResumeChain: A SolutionResumeChain is a unique solution for the drawbacks of the current approach. The figure below represents the high-level solution to the problem.

Employer: Employer posts job to the internet. Once he selects the candidates. He requests the respective profiles from ResumeChain. If the profile is set to public or employer is whitelisted employer can get access to all versions of resume immediately. Otherwise, a request is sent to job seeker for access to the profile. Once job seeker approves the request,the employer can view resume.
