i think the best options still with ethereum,,
then maybe Cardano and EOS will growing hard after 2 - 3 years my friend, i believe with both altcoins besides ethereum 
and in my opinion a great altcoins will be born before 2020,,

 Ethereum right now, since it has the largest network, since it is widely accepted and most new currencies are actually running on ether, so right now no one else looks better. Of course some other could come up in the future. IF it’s necessary I would suggest IOTA, Stellar, Monero and Cardano.

I think by 2020 there will be a mass adoption for blockchain and this will increase the utility of some of the coins in the market, So for ethereum their future will depend on next year after they implement the ethereum 2.0, we will be watching to see the outcome.

but another 3rd gen crypto that has no fees, the future, scalable, the more who use it the faster it goes, its IOTA.

I doubt IOTA is the next bitcoin, but look into this, its the future.  AI, VR, robotics, and internet of things, will be the next boom areas, and IOTA will need to back it up.

There could be never be called as best crypto in 2020 and even bitcoin is still not the best in that year. Innovations and collaborations with giant tech companies, retail industries and government regulations are the new trends of crypto and ICOs will be gone and some will is going to buy out potentila ICOs. Private block chains are favorable by investment institutions. So for what token or coins that are not strong today will be strong tomorrow we never know which one as long they innovate then they will stand out soon. It is hard to name a few but there are lot potential projects are still developing to cope up what bitcoin is lacking of.

in my opinion, the best altcoins are still ethereum. and for later in 2020 I don't know yet and haven't yet found a potentially high altcoin to replace ethereum. maybe later there will be a new altcoin that can surpass ethereum technology at this time

Ethereum will become more popular and for sure the price of the ethereum become very high the value and I think possible the ethereum become the next bitcoin in the year 2020 but it not sure when it happen. But I hope ethereum will have a good future.

The best Alt coin will be the one that is providing the best value, will be able to actually be used to do real things and one that makes non crypto holders want to get involved in this new frontier.

I think  Ethereum will cost around $5,000 in 2020. This is due to the fact that most likely the launch of BAKKT, Fidelity and the trading of crypto futures on NASDAQ will facilitate entry into the crypto market institutional investors and, accordingly, the rise the value of all crypto tokens.
