Hi all.

Let me say this is a very well laid out forum and and i hope to be more regular on here.

Im an Aussie and im an avid gamer and technology fan. Im a tradesman (Boilermaker) so an 8hr+ day is what i do 5 days a week.

Im as green as they get, what i know is what the movie on bitcoin.org has told me about bitcoin and I signed up here to get some more information get some practical solid advice on security and everything else.

Im fighting the urge to jump headlong into anything that will cost me $$$$ until i understand more about what im doing and why im spending money on it.

See you around the board.

Harry.

Yeah I seen a massive list of those on here somewhere.

So im using the Bitcoin QT program atm (it was what bitcoin.org recommended and i understand i would be part of the processing network, which im fine with, i dont mind helping) Its still about 70 weeks behind at this point but (feeling n00b sauce here) i let it update and sort out, do i just give a label of the website im at and use that address where it asks me and keep making new addresses for different sites?

There is soooo much information out there and ive found some sites that look plain dodgey so im trying to get consolidated information from a forum like this to ensure i dont get fleeced. (not that i think bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, i see it as get rich VERY SLOWLY scheme LOL)

I felt like it was going to take forever but its just about 1-2 days to be up to date. Thats what i do to keep every thing organize. Yes some sites look like they are up to no good. You have to research the site on this forum. Yes its like a very slow rich scheme but like i said its best to try out free bitcoin site and play around with the little amount of bitcoins the give you.
