How to buy bitcoins directly from 401k ?

Hi there, I am trying to figure out if there is a way to buy bitcoins directly from my 401k account? I suppose I could transfer money from my 401k account to my checking account, then buy bitcoins from there. But is there a service that lets you buy (like with ACH or something) bitcoins direct from your online 401k account?

Yes I have an online 401k account and I wanted to find an easy way to transfer money from the 401k account to a bitcoin exchange/wallet (I don't know the proper term yet) without going through too many transactions.

Is coinbase anonymous? Is there another option that has better privacy?

Coinbase is probably your best bet. It's a big exchange, all you need to do is link your bank acc and buy BTC.

I'm pretty sure you can't. Your best bet is to ask the company that manages your 401k.

If they don't know what bitcoin is, then ask them how to invest in physical gold bullion coins.  The answer for bitcoin will be the same unless they have a some special program for investing in gold coins,.

I know of two bitcoin ETFs being set up right now. So, in the near future you might be able to invest in one of these ETFs through your 401k.
