I don't think Coinbase will develop any such crypto-index fund, As there is no need of it. BTC itself helps to act as a crypto-index in informal way. As BTC movement is direct proportional to Alt-coins movement. It is because, nearly every coin has pair with BTC, there market mood ca be justified wirtth the BTC movement.
