Hello,
Yesterday I wrote to Bitcoinwatch, asking them to remove btcex.com from the list of exchanges:
"In the beginning of May 2011 our bitcoins were stolen (disappeared from the balance) and transactions history was deleted. There's some threads in Russian describing what happened. I suppose you don't read Russian, but it's just in case:

It's interesting, that btcex.com exchange is still working and it's owner laugh at people, shows no respect and doesn't intend to return bitcoins. He told that the whole project is experimental and he bears no responsibility. Now we understand, that btcex.com are scammers. Please, remove btcex.com from your list of exchanges! It is not safe for people to deal with them."
They answered:
"Thanks for your email. I'll try to investigate and figure out what happened. If it turns out to be true, I'll remove it. Can you provide any evidence?"
I'll be grateful if you, people here, tell something? I think, some of you also lost bitcoins with a little help from btcex.
Also, if some of you know where is still some links to btcex, please, do smth to remove them.
Thank you
myhoho

No doubts, btcex is scam and we have to let people know about it.
Moreover, it's all about general question - bitcoin regulations and arbitrary... We need voluntary bitcoin army to defend our commodity Smiley.

There was also a thread in English about it, though I don't have the link handy. Some searching may help to discover it.

While I have no personal experience with btcex, I've read relevant threads in both Russian and English; what people say complaining about btcex appears to be plausible, while whatever btcex operator posts does appear to be borderline insane.

"Avoid like a plague" is my opinion on this.

I'd say that removing them from Bitcoinwatch, would be a prudent step.
