THE ONE WORD DEFINITION OF WHAT THE BITCOIN AND THE BLOCKCHAIN IS

As a content writer I remember the first cypto writing job I got; with zero Idea on what Bitcoin or the blockchain is and an overwhelming pool of complex resources of what business the Bitcoin has with the blockchain tech.
 After a lot of research and the first job, I still had that subtle dissatisfaction as to what “one word” is the most important word that defines all of what the blockchain tech is and all of what its offshoots stands for.
For complex inventions like:
The internet it compressed the globe into a village
Automobile changed the way we move
and many others

 While the blockchain is already disrupting: the homeostasis in many industries, aspects of our social and technological lives, and still loaded with an infinite amount of possibilities coming with it, the one best word that best describe what this is all about is “TRUST”.
With all I have seen, read, watched and listened to about the blockchain one resource that did very well to explain what this is all about was a Tedtalk by Richie Etwaru https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k53LUZxUF50
In that talk he was able to give a simple-statement-punchline that defined all that the blockchain is, which is:  “It is changing the way we trust.”
Of course, I expect you to have your one word/statement punch-line of what you think the Bitcoin and the blockchain is?

Trustless electronic ledger / e-ledger.
I think its the simplest and and most descriptive "one" word statement.
True one word would be e-ledger, sounds quite good, if you ask me ( maybe a little boring  ).

“It is changing the way we trust.”

In my opinion the above quote is just lame and misses key aspects of the blockchain because we actually have to trust other people the same way we did before, nothing has changed, still good, old fashion risk is involved while dealing with people, organisations and enterprises.

Bitcoin and the Blockchain is the perfect combination of two concepts that are combined to create the "Internet of Money".

Bitcoin is the token and the Blockchain is the mechanism that keeps everything together. You cannot have a token without

the Blockchain, because the token has to be passed onto someone else and this has to be catalogued somewhere.
