So this Joker on Twitter posted a retweet which I thought was from CoinDesk giving up to 500 ETH if you send in a small amount to the following address.
Binance had a similar giveaway like a few months ago, so I thought it was the same, but it turned out to be a scam site. I am out about 6.52 ETH and it looks like SCAMMER isnt going to give it back.
Looks like a few more people got hit it with as well.

If you can retrieve or assist me successfully get my 6.52 ETHER back, I will give you a 2 ETHER reward. At this point, I just want these guys to not get away with what they are doing. I need your HELP.
Please assist if you can...

Here is the scammer's wallet:

You should move this (control at lower left) to Scam Accusations.

There is no way you can recover a crypto coin; you know that.  :/

I post for interest - not signature spam.

I think you are the actual joker who got fooled by this well known scam. You have 6+ ETH, yet you don't know 1 simple thing that no one is going to send you free ETH. And just to let you know, Binance also doesn't do any ETH giveaways. These are fake accounts with names of popular companies and personalities. Sometimes they send ETH to early contributors, but after that they take away all the amount. Those comments under the tweet, which say they received free ETH are also fake. Just remember, that if a company would want to give you something for free, then they would require you to join their site and the free thing will probably be their own tokens and not ETH. If a person says that he/she wants to give you ETH, then he/she won't ask you to send small amount of ETH.

This was a simple scam. There are many other scams like phishing sites, phishing emails, deceptive sites, people posing as admins on telegram groups, scammy ICOs, scammy airdrops and a lot. Better be aware of these things if you wanna stay safe in the crypto world.

Greed makes people do the damnedest shit. I have seen people fall for the dumbest shit I never expected anyone to fall for just because the offer sounded nice and they didnt do their due dilligence. Unfortunate as it may be /shrug

I believe this is related on the wide ethereum scam giveaway.
If you'll just check, most of the official twitter pages of various coins/tokens are flooded with such scam posts.

Here's a quick snapshot of some of it...

Saddest truth? You won't probably get back your eth.

They use buzzwords and very what I like to call "noob enticing" words and phrases like "smart contract setup to auto execute and pay your ETH" to bait people.
