Hi today i opened my ledger nano S.
After installing it I went in to the ledger live manager and downloaded the tron app but when i went to my portfolio to make a tron wallet I could not choose tron. only bitcoin, etherium,stratis and a few more. I thought it was strange so i reset my ledger and followed a youtube instruction.This time i downloaded bitcoin app then made a bitcoin wallet just like the video but now when I was going to download more apps I couldn't get in to the manager.

nothing happend where it says "allow ledger manager to your device". I wont get any option to click accept on the ledger i tried over and over. a few times there comes a  message to the ledger wich ask if i want a conformation and if i click yes then nothing happends. I just get the message Oops, a time out occurred
It took too long for the server to respond, please retry.

What could be wrong? I mailed nano ledger company but haven't got any answer yet. please help

Ledger nano s has a limitation of the total number of coins are installed in the wallet.
That's about 3-5 maximum, don't know exactly.

So you need to delete Bitcoin/ethereum etc and then install tron. It should work.

Make this test and tell us if it worked

This time i downloaded bitcoin app then made a bitcoin wallet just like the video but now when I was going to download more apps I couldn't get in to the manager.

I assume after you reset your Ledger Nano, you only have Bitcoin apps installed on it, am I right?
I think the issue is network/USB connectivity. Try to disconnect your Ledger and connect it again (change your USB port), and make sure you run the latest Ledger Live. After that try to install Tron.

Which firmware you're using at this moment btw?

my firmware is secure element 1.4.2 mcu 1.6.
now i got in to the manager after a couple of tries and i downloaded the tron app again but when i click on portfolio to create a wallet then i cant choose tron. It's not on the list. I can se the tron logo on my ledger. is it something i missed?
when I go to the list of portfolio wallets there are only 24 of them while on the live manager i can find hundreds of cryptos? I have checked youtube also but all videos that are upp looks like they are from older ledger beacause my live does not look like their videos.

Not all Cryptos are support natively inside the Ledger Live app (ie. you cannot create a wallet in Ledger Live) and you need to use in conjunction with a 3rd party wallet... Stellar is an example of this.

If you don't see the crypto you want listed in the drop down menu when you try to add an account in Ledger Live, then it isn't natively supported. It would appear that TRON also requires the use of an external app/website. Refer here: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006904193-TRON-TRX-

Thanks for your help! very strange that the ledger didn't come with any instrutions. I thought that the ledger could open wallets of all the hundreds of cryptos from their website. not that i had to go to different websites and download things. I feel like i been hustled. I have so many different coins because when I was new to crypto I just bought little of all i saw on youtube. I guess i leave most of them on exanges and try to put the ones i have more of on my ledger.

Basically, it is really only the "big" cryptocurrencies (ie. ones that are actually worth something or have a LOT of users) that exist within Ledger Live. Also, ones that are technically easy to integrate. While that's not true in ALL cases, it is for the vast majority.

There are just so many "worthless" currencies, with little support, that it just wouldn't be worth the time and effort integrating them. Much easier to enable support with existing wallets and let users access them that way... like you can with Ethereum and MyEtherWallet/MyCrypto.

If currency finds enough support and userbase... I'm sure Ledger would look at integrating support directly into Live.

Don't forget to update the firmware of the ledger.
I saw a thread about the update for the ledger nano s firmware 1.5.5. Maybe you can read about that because, in that thread, I saw a link that will direct you to visit the company which released the ledger itself and I hope you can solve the problem.
