In my opinion, the project's team can be a good aspect to consider whether a project is a scam or not. A reputable person/team has a lower probability to scam people. LinkedIn profile link is not enough to decide whether someone is trustworthy or not, we should take a look at their background.

And of course, we also need to consider who is the bounty manager. With that said, I'm curious, how many 'scam' projects you've joined? Not the percentage, but the exact number.

Yes, this is very sad, but I can't suggest anything. I'm still a newbie, probably more than you... All my bounty still working and the final result is still unknown to me...
