We are on well into a technological revolution that will radically change the life of many in the next years. Yet all I see around are ICO to build platforms that are ultimately going to be the middleman essentially monetizing though transactions fees.

The middleman approach is adopted everywhere, from SAAS platforms to centralized exchanges.

OTOH platforms, whether are using the blockchain or not, need to monetize and transaction fees seem to be the only viable monetizing solution.

So my questions is: what is a viable and ethical business model for blockchain powered platforms? How much is a fair "running cost" cut and how should that be valued?
