Right now, the fathers Ullrich and Horst Dahms, who characterized the vineyard over decades, passed the baton to their sons Jürgen and Alexander.
We feel committed to produce high standard vine, which meets the international requirements. Thereby we do not run after the changing spirit of the age.

Peterstirn, the castle of the Marquis Berthold from the 10th Century is the landmark of the city of Schweinfurt and the winery Dahms .
Here, in the castle family owned , the wine tastings and the annual wine festivals that take up an old tradition of the city .
From the castle of the Schweinfurt Margrave and later imperial castle on the Peterstirn the imperial castle life of the city was derived
the Schweinfurt legally owes its rise to Empire City . Later a part of the castle was converted into a monastery ,
which later on went to the Teutonic Order.
The origin of the historic site existing today is the 19th Century. In order to remember the importance of Peterstirn,
acquired the Municipal Councils Carl Friedrich Sattler and Herding after long negotiations , the castle back from the state .
They put in new vineyards and Carl Sattler built in 1874, the castle-like building . 1895 the estate came into the possession of the family Lebküchner , who possessed a large wine shop in Schweinfurt.
After the family Dahms in 1980/81 the area of the family Lebküchner first only leased , it acquired the plant in 1994 and restored it .
These bathe the tower room with its historic features restored to its former splendor and cannons in the courtyard from 1782 and 1784 to document the Defensibility of the Schweinfurt vigilantes .
On the grounds of the castle today is also the home of Jürgen Dahm family , which was restored in 1999.
The castle can only be visited as part of wine tasting .
The Castle above the Main River is nestled in 2.5 hectares of vineyards, where the classic Franconia grape varieties are grown:Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Scheurebe, Traminer and Riesling and red wine as the interspecific varieties Rondo.

Jürgen Dahms (on the left hand side)
Graduate Civil wine. He has inherited the passion for wine from his father,
to study for an internship in a Franconian wine cooperative later Oenology in Geisenheim.
Jürgen Dahm is responsible for the quality of the wines in the vineyard and in the cellar.
