My friends and their parents have lost a lot of money, even the house for MLM lending coin model. There are many who fall into the trap of being enticed and losing money. They were blameworthy but they were miserable due to their ignorance and paid the price. So what does the price have to pay the scammers? Should there be a death penalty for them?

No, and I'll tell you why! People hoot around freebies and go into such dubious projects to get easy booty, in the end they lose everything because of their indifference and greed! That's who need the death penalty so it's for those who want to get everything in this life easy and illegal way! Let better explain to the government where the wings took money for the contribution to these companies!
