Can I accept BTC as a payment if a client offers to pay me in BTC..? or is it not legal in India? or the legal status is still not clear?

Legal status is still not clear.
As web developer can not have only single client and all clients won't pay in btc, you should take it by looking at its potential growth.

Are you into freelancing? if so then yes you can accept btc. they just need to send to your wallet.

However, don't get into an agreement sort of which states longterm employment in exchange of bitcoins. these are still volatile and you may end up in loss

I think it would be freelancing because no employer would be paying currently in India with BTC as their is no proper regulations currently in place. So once we have the full norms in place and government give clearance then only we can see some employer starting to pay in btc.

I think "YES" in both case (BTC or Doller/INR) you have to pay taxes.

Yes you can. You can cash out using many exchanges and pay taxes accordingly.

Currently we can't say exactly on btc legal/ilegal statement but in present time, it's not ban in India.so u can deal with this
