Hi.

I have asked my question on /r/bitcoins on reddit and its been 3 days and nobodys answering/helping, so I joined this forum. I am new to BTC and everything being discussed in this forum.

I am trying to buy something using bitcoins, and I told that company that I would like to pay you in BTC (which they accept).

They replied saying :

    Hi.
    Send BTC 0.54 to: 1fakjLKHLJkjGKkHGYTpoiTvJHHk
The Bitcoin address above is for your account with us, all payments to this address will be credited to your account.

I have a BTC-e account, how do I transfer money to them from my BTC-e account ?

Under Finances in my BTC-e account, I have a Withdraw button next to Deposit button next to BTC. Do I use the 'Withdraw' button option and then mention the amount below and put in the address they have send me above? Is that what I should do?? There is two options, one is 'Withdrawal' and the other is 'Make BTC-E code'. I don't know why its called Withdrawal, I want to transfer money to that account, I don't know if its the same as 'Withdrawal'.

Can you please advice me. (I have enough funds in my BTC-e account).

Thx

It's called withdrawal because it's a trading website not a online wallet and yes you need to click on withdraw BTC and use that address to withdraw funds.

Ps: What you are going to buy? make sure they are legit.

A withdraw to that address should send it to that address. I don't use BTC-e but with cryptsy that's how I transfer funds around. You could withdraw it to your wallet and send it from there also

I would create my own wallet first and withdraw the coins to that wallet, and send from there.

Otherwise, you're going to send coins to the new site from a wallet that's not yours. so, if you need them returned for some reason, they'll send to an address that isn't yours - btc-e will have no idea what to do with those coins and just get to keep them. Not saying they're dishonest at all, just saying that there's a reason that wallets and trading sites are not one and the same!

You can withdraw, but make sure you have no reason for them to send the coins back to that address. Maybe you should create a online wallet on Blockchain.info and then send them to the company. As the above poster said, if the company send back the coins to BTC-E then they won't have a clue where they came from and you will have a headache of a time trying to explain where they came from.

You can also download the Bitcoin-Qt wallet but you will have to sync it and that can be hassle.

Also do some Google searches to make sure the company is legit.

According to:

http://uncaptcha.net/bitcoin.php
1fakjLKHLJkjGKkHGYTpoiTvJHHk

is an invalid bitcoin address.

No, you cannot send to invalid bitcoin address. But you can send to bitcoin address with no owners and your bitcoin will be lost forever in the vacuum of space and time.
