So there are plenty of online wallets for dedicated Bitcoin, Litecoin, and <insert-your-favored-alt-here>coin storage for no cost. There are also exchanges which allow users to effectively "store" their coins, but tend to have a small fee for deposits and withdrawals.

However, are there any existing services that allow users to store multiple types of cryptos in one interface for no added cost to the user? I'm trying to track something like this down and having no luck so far.

personally I wouldn't trust any service like this, although of course you are free to seek out

imo, keep 90% or so of your coins in wallets on your desktop, protected by passwords, and back up wallet. dat's and passwords on thumbdrive

keep rest on couple of exchanges for trading

keeping all on an exchange or online wallet coulsd get lost in hack or dodgy owners or country feds taking down exchange foe some random reason

I am Bonkers BTW

About 95% of my coins are already backed up in cold storage. The remainder is split between vircurex, bitmit, cex, and inputs.io (which is the current BTC online wallet I'm using).

The point I'm getting at though is vircurex is somewhat annoying to use as a wallet due to the transaction fees. Even if they are minor. It'd be nice to have a 0-fee online wallet to consolidate both my BTC and favorite alts together on, rather than either using 10 different wallets or having to use an exchange as a wallet. If something like this doesn't already exist, I'm honestly tempted to build it myself...

I have one launching within a few weeks for BTC, LTC, DGC, SRC, ARG.  It is currently in the final development and testing stage and is a shared wallet architecture, with multiple layers of security based on my 12+ years of professional web development. It is designed to be easy to use in order to bring in new users who are not tech savvy or familiar with crypto.  I also plan to release a "pro" version that functions like blockchain.info where the user is in full control of their wallet.  Before you ask, I won't be supporting any other coins.

That's very cool to hear, and congratulations on reaching a solid state of development Smiley

What I think would be more useful though, personally, is the ability to rapidly support new types of alts. Like say hypothetically I care about PPC, NMC, and DVC in addition to BTC...then that wallet does me no good (other than BTC support, which there are plenty of other wallets for). Just a hopefully-constructive criticism.
