There are a lot of online tools if you search for it-- even a simple "reduce image size" will bring out lots of results but please do note that this will reduce the image quality.

For some reason, they chose to embed the U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 profile into their avatar image which creates a 528kb monster of a jpg file that only really needed to be less than 2kb.  You should ask them, "what the fuck?"  They're probably Mac users though hence they can't help it.
