Hi all,

I'm new to all this, and have been reading into things for the past couple of days. I think it's quite clear that I've missed the boat in terms of Bitcoins - with my hardware (i7 2600K, GeForce GTX 295), mining them just wouldn't be efficient. So I've been looking into some of the alternatives out there.. Litecoin, Primecoin and GoldCoin inparticular. Does anyone have any experience of these? I'm considering going for primecoin initially as I don't have access to much GPU grunt, but could potentially have access to HP G8's and UCS Blades going forwards - are they any good for CPU mining??

Cheers

Yes, because Primecoin can be mined only on CPU.

You would not be rich mining Primecoin though, its meant to be used for botnet  Tongue (joke)
