We are putting together a new forum.  It is not meant to interfere or compete with this one.  It is meant to be of prirmary use of the implementation of crypto currencies into software and other applications.  For example, using Bitcoins to buy add-ins in an Android App.  We will need some moderators once we get going.  In the meantime, please feel free to visit.  allthingsbit.com/forum.

Catchy domain name you have there. It attract people who like Bitcoin but not those who are very serious about Bitcoin. I see that you are using the same but updated software as Bitcointalk. Unless you have a strong community and good features (that put you aside from others), you will never succeed. Kindly tell us more about:

For example, using Bitcoins to buy add-ins in an Android App.

Sound like a good feature. However, how do the forum integrate with this feature?

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

That was an example of what will be discussed in the forum..not a feature of the forum itself.  I still use SMF a lot for different domains.  If you do not like it, what forum software do you suggest.  I am not trying to be a smartass, just always up for change and the forum is new enough I can install something different.

You should have use more sophisticated forum script like xenforo, they're better when it comes to making users participate in the forum. Mybb can also be great as its easy to customize. Anyway, you realize there are lots of cryptoforum these days and you will be competing those that are somehow almost established including bitcointalk.org?

Well, the thing is that I really see no reason to compete.  We have established forms of income and are not trying to make a buck off the forum, but rather be there if needed.  This is going to be a forum that will be rather specific, so if users need to discuss these things they can.  I have used MyBB and never really saw whether it or SMF was better, just ended up picking one back in 2005 or so and stuck with it.  I will take a look at xenforo though and maybe make a change.

Sorry for the misconception. Like enhu. I would suggest XenForo as it have a modern user interface that many people likes. If you cannot afford the license, check out MyBB. It have an awesome community and ... better style than SMF. However, SMF is good if you want a better securities.
