I have just bought my first 4 erupters and a fan. I am planning on eventually getting the 49 port hub and 45 more erupters. Maybe even a second setup of this. How many USB fans should I have blowing on them for 1 board? Specifically the Arctic Breeze Mobile USB fan. Also is there any way to split a non-modular PSU so that I could use it to power 2 boards? and would a 250W PSU be enough for 2 full 49 slot boards of fans and miners? Just wondering because I already have an extra 250W PSU. It's ancient, early 2000's maybe, but it still works.

should take a look at RedFurry https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321551.0 there still over priced but better than block erupters at this point.

Yea those seem good. I will possibly look into that. The price for it would be like buying 8 Erupters. It also has just about the same Gh/s as 8 erupters. If I purchase a 49 port USB hub, put 9 fans on it and have 40 Red Fury miners, that would be 104 Gh/s! It's going to take a long time for me to acquire all of those Red Fury's though. So I will stick with erupters I bought for a bit.

Thanks for the info though!

have a look at these BiFury 5+ GH/s USB sticks -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=309918.0 (difficult to get i guess). But 49 x 2.5W = 122,5W. Mining Bitcoins is especially interesting if your have free power  Grin
