Could this also be the reason why Centra now is dumping? I have read a couple of articles and people commenting it as a scam but as I have read the whitepaper, their roadmaps and their project. It really looks legit to me, so I'm just waiting for Centra to prove them wrong and just read some article about their successful development and projects soon.

Well, there were lots of fud about Monaco too, some time has passed after the release and they were able to do x10 (even without the product).
This BTC fork messed up everything. I would not say Monaco is more trustworthy than Centra and I am pretty sure it will eventually bounce back to previous levels of $1+.
MCO has a former VISA member as their advisor, so it seems more trustworthy or at least more likely to succeed than other projects.

Source on card shipments? Anything official?
Centra has partnered with a bank to issue cards, the bank has a NDA in place and will announce themselves when first big batch ships out.  Some titanium members have cards and are already using them, theres video and pics of unboxing, using cards, etc.

I'm not asking people to contribute or to believe.  I'm asking people to hold their judgement for 1 month until cards get shipped.  Right now the competitors are fudding strong and posting everywhere.  Its easy for anyone to "pose" as someone else online making fake accounts and spreading false rumors.  I can pretend to be your old classmate and say how awful you were.  How could you prove otherwise?  Thats why I say product is the only way to stop fud.

I encourage people to watch live AMA, look at the tour of the offices (in the AMA), the inteviews of the staff.  Read the qualifications of the other people on the team.  See the roadmap: https://www.centra.tech/roadmap/
Before you blindly believe fud that other people post.  Cause anyone can skew a story to what they want you to believe.

TenX had cards issued as well, which then got locked and rendered unusable due to failure to comply with regulations. It's not very difficult to roll out prepaid cards by the way, so the existence of cards is no indicator for success.

Either way, I don't see any compelling reason for looking at CTR over MCO or BitPay.

The value in CTR is not the debit cards but the fact that you will be able to pay in many crypto like IOTA, NEO, DASH, etc.  You can pick the cheapest mining fee or pick the one that you have.
But anyway, I'm not here to talk about differences between companies, just wanted to address the scam accusations.

That's the same proposal as TenX, MCO and pretty much every other crypto card has made.

It was nice while it lasted. After most people got rid of their coins it seems like the dev just decided to leave the coin to the holders.
Like I mentioned above, wait a month, see the cards ship and then make your judgement.  Team is working hard, they are on slack daily, and you can go to their office and see the team for yourself.  MacMac the youtuber already did, you can do it too.
