GPU Temperature.

Hey guys, I've trying out some mining, and I've managed to get my HD7750 to get a speed of 100 MH/s and a temperature of 55º Celsius. Will that damage my card or is it a nice temperature?

By the way I only get that temperature if I configure the GPU Fan to work at a 80%. Normally is at 45%.

Good temperature. Anything above 85 degrees Celsius isnt good.

This said, please note that mining bitcoin with a GPU is wasted time, these days not even with an ASIC (wich make tens of thousands of MH/s) it is profitable, let alone with a GPU. If you want to use your gpu to mine, move to litecoin.

55 is way to cold ) i had my 7950`s at ~70. the r290 x has cooling problems that is why it runs so hot.

It needs more work. Perhaps 60 degrees is better.

AMD says 95° is fine for it. These new cards work in a different way than older ones, it is normal for them to be hot when fully used, this allow for more performance for loads that don't get the card so hot (gpu mining is much more intensive than gaming)

55C is really great, if you undervolt it you should get it about 45C...

Don't worry until you go over 90c, EU Lead Free solder starts to get brittle (XBox 360 ring of death etc.)

i wouldnt mine with gpus >80c or you risk to burn it. And check your vcore temps with gpu z, afterburner only shows the mobo temps.

And consider mining ltc instead of btc...
