what do i do if i recieved a small transfer and after a couple of days its still marked as unverified, -1 confirmations. fees were included. will this resolve itself ?

Any time you are asking for help with a transaction you should post a link to it on blockchain.info.

It really depends on the specific reason that the transaction isn't confirming.  Can you post the transaction ID here? Or the bitcoin address that was used to receive the transaction?

There are a couple of reasons

1) A fee was included but the tx is low priority and the fee paid is less than 0.1 mBTC per KB.
2) One of the inputs for the tx isn't confirmed.  A tx can't be confirmed until all of its inputs are confirmed.
3) The tx is non-standard although this is highly unlikely if you are using a client (instead of raw transactions).
