A week ago I opened a wallet with blockchain.info and started to receive payments. I had 5 transactions listed in my blockchain wallet earlier today but when I recently went to check my wallet, the first (and most substantial) transaction was no longer listed and subsequently my total balance had changed. BTC and transaction are just gone. Can anyone explain why that may have happened?

Was the transaction in question sent with the proper fees? If unconfirmed for a long period of time, a transaction may not appear on the block chain.

somehow after missing from the history for 5 hours the transaction reappeared as a new payment with the same fluctuated (if that makes sense) value. Previous to going missing the transaction had 60+ confirmations. scary, but came with a happy ending. any insight?
