I made a deposit of bitcoin into my account on the cryptsy exchange at 4:18 PM on 1/22. At 4:27 PM executed a trade of some bitcoin for some litecoin. My account showed appropriate balances for both coins. Submitted withdrawal of litecoin at 4:41 PM, the coins were removed from my balance and the transaction was listed as pending state, yet there is no sign of them ever entering the block chain. I submitted a ticket that evening at 8:29 PM, received the automated response but 2 days later have yet to hear from them.

Ok, if i have a balance of litecoin and want to withdraw some, and give them an address to send it to, shouldn't i expect it to show up on the block chain soon after i submit the withdrawal? They have my litecoin, they removed them from my balance, the coins never made it out of cryptsy and onto the block chain. It's like they got pulled into a black hole, and cryptsy seems to be avoiding me...

I have tried to withdrawal my funds from cryptsy, failed the last 5 transactions. the first 2 times, I gave in and just requested to cancel withdrawal. funds were available immediately. now I have 3 pending withdrawals, 2 of which have been on "pending status" for 24 hours +. my final withdrawal also still pending. I have written countless tickets, called the cryptsy contact number. left messages. I do not know what more I can do.

I have never had any issues on withdrawals, from other exchanges, overseas, It is mind boggling how an exchange in the U.S. can get away with hold up funds for days on in. this is extremely wreckless behavior, and just not ethical. I almost get the impression this single exchange will bring regulation to the market. this is very serious, holding a few bitcoins hostage may bot be much to a major exchange, but to the avg joe like myself, it is substantial, due to cryptsy holding my funds, I had to go the traditional route of doing a paypal transfer, and at-least that much was instant.

I guess I have No choice but to wait, until they feel like releasing my funds, I would not recommend this site to anyone. I am back to asking myself the question, what or why this is any better then the traditional banking system. at least I can walk into my own bank on any given day and take money out, it makes me wonder if they even have the coins, or just flipping the bit coins washing it with the hundreds of altcoin and scam coins. I guess I have to wait in line. I had thought I was the only one, but after doing some research, there are numerous complaints with the same subject matter.

I really hope they have the bitcoins, in house.
