The token is certainly erc20 so that the smart contract will be easier to implement. We may eventually migrate the platform to Stellar Lumens once the tipbot is live so that it will be economically feasible to have on chain transactions. Ether might be too expensive for that.
As for the team, I think you can imagine why the team prefers to stay nameless aside from our trolling aliases. When this takes off and people start trolling the President with merciless abandon, it will be better for everyone if the creators are not exposed... to avoid a point of weakness where they might be pressured into shutting it down.
That's also part of the reason we are giving away 90% of the tokens, to assure investors that we are in this for the fun and the potential of making a real change. The platform will really have to explode on social media for us to walk away with much cash. We're also only collecting $150-300k in the ICO so that won't go much farther than the software development. Hopefully that makes sense.
