I had to move to a new phone, so I backed up my keys in the old one, then copied the key file over to the new phone and restored them.

After reloading the chain, Bitcoin Wallet shows my previous transaction history PLUS a new transaction, labeled "internal", which wipes my account!

Fortunately I only lost a small sum of money, but this puts serious harm in my confidence on BTC. I was planning to use it more extensively but now I'm scared to put more money in it. Please help me recover my Bitcoins!!

Are you sure that what you are seeing is not a transfer of funds from the old phone to the new one? Does it create a new wallet address for transfer of the BTC?

Just wait for the TX to confirm. Addresses generated on android were able to be hacked, so it was fixed, and required you to move your coins to a new address. It should confirm soon.

PS. You don't need to blur your address, if anything you should show it off.  Smiley

Contact the developer of that lousy app...

The developer is contacted and the response is like this: http://code.google.com/p/bitcoin-wallet/issues/detail?id=223
Now I see that developer also made a post here explaining the situation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=271846.0

scary stuff. please update with blochain.info as to where your coin now is.

This is the info of the transaction if that is relevant

Does this mean there is some kind of hope? What is TX?

So as far as I understood, on august app transferred my coins to a new address because of a security update.
Since I took the backup prior to the apps upgrade, my backup doesn't have the keys for the new address.
Does this mean I lost my coins for good? What can be done at this point?
