Online Agency for bronirovania travel CheapAir.com will no longer be paying in BTC in connection with changes in the activity of its partner, Coinbase.

CheapAir started accepting bitcoin as payment in 2013. Now the Agency plans to return the possibility of making payments in bitcoin using BitPay.

CheapAir :

"We have learned from our partner, Coinbase that It will no longer provide “custodial” solutions to the trading sector, and will remove a number of tools and features we relied on by accepting bitcoin from customers CheapAir.com Oh. The changes will come into force in the coming weeks”

Representatives of CheapAir noted that the key in terms of accepting payments to BTC for the company is the ability to convert bitcoin into Fiat currencies, as traditional airlines and hotels accept only traditional money.

CheapAir will take altcoins
Among other things, the company plans to start accepting other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash, Dash and Litecoin. Back in 2014, CheapAir announced its desire to start accepting Litecoin and Dogecoin with the support of another cryptocurrency payment processor, GoCoin.

The partnership with BitPay
However, despite CheapAir's claims that BitPay integration has already occurred, the practical use of The services may not be as smooth.

“Our main concern is that BitPay doesn't support “wallets are not-payment Protocol” (wallets that are not compatible with BIP-70). This means that if you do not have the appropriate wallet, you will need to start it and use it as an intermediary when making payments in Bitcoin.”

CheapAir also reported that they would like to receive feedback from the customer community on the issue of partnership with BitPay.

Thanks for the + 1 merit
