should the bitcoin Qt wallet be on to receive bitcoins?? to receive bitcoins??

No, it doesn't need to be online in order to receive Bitcoins.
You only need to be online and up-to-date to send Bitcoins.

(Actually you can even have an Bitcoin address+private key on a piece of paper and it's able to receive Bitcoins.)

hm ill not be able to test it until i have earned enough bitcoin. im using guiminer on computers with win7.
its gonna take a while

You might be better trying Litecoin or another alt coin. The time of generating bitcoins on a PC has long passed.

Do you mean sell?
It's quite a small amount to sell; the easiest way would be via localbitcoins.com, and find someone who lives very near to you who wants to buy it.

It's quite a small amount to sell; the easiest way would be via localbitcoins.com, and find someone who lives very near to you who wants to buy it.
then what about trading it into litecoin?
