We'll find out. Early stages of the technology. Sat in on a conference where Anthony D was speaking. He mentions there is issues with the scaling of it, but also mentions that you shouldn't put all your faith on one technology for potential issues as this.

Have you seen the tx fees? Less than 1 gwei now.. Or less than 0.1 dollars.

Development is on-going but it is clear that scalability was part of the roadmap since day 1.
I wouldn't be worried at all given that the ETH dev team is very active. Checkout their github page as they are very transparent with development.

Cross-chain protocol:
1. Cross-link compatibility: It can be compatible with existing and future blockchains. 2. Cross-chain has openness: Cross-chain has the ability to link any block in. 3. Cross-chain has the potential of standardization: let any area Block links will gradually form an access standard that will help promote the standardization of blockchain protocols. A technology developed with decentralized thinking, regardless of the Ethernet share or the multichain of the side chain, are all internal There is a heavy reliance on the main chain, and cross-chaining is the true decentralization approach - following the protocol standards, it also allows enough customization and personalization. Like the smtp protocol, each mail system is independent and can customize its own user systems to meet its own business needs, but it has the same protocol standards and can complete communication and interaction with each other.

Ethereum has already planned to improve scalability since DAY ONE. Just look at their white paper and roadmap. They are constantly developing ways to improve scalability and have actually made progress with testing Casper and sharding.

Once this Ethereum update is deployed, it will be able to handle millions of transactions per second. Etheruem will blow away all other altcoins.
