To remain anonymous to stay out of prison. US government would find ways to put him in prison, based to the interest of National Security. As he has destablised the US Dollar.

There's no way to know unless he comes forward to say he's alive.

I don't know, I don't care.  It really doesn't interest me.  I'm not sure why anyone else cares.
