Hi,

I remember reading a thread (which unfortunately I'm unable to find again after doing multiple searches) that the Gigabyte Radeon RX VEGA 64 is prone overheating more so than other brands of the VEGA 64.

Is anyone able to confirm this?

Thanks

Is that a reference edition? If yes, then any differences among brands are negligible as they all have the same chipset.

I would highly suggest you do the Soft Power Play mods if you are worried about temps. As long as you have that installed on your rig then you shouldn't have to worry about temps on a VEGA. Just google "vega mining guides powerplay."

No it's not a reference model as far as I'm a ware.

Thanks for info.

I'm not sure with Vega. But, based on my experience with R9 series (290, 290x, 390x, 390x), yes, Gigabyte prone overheat than the other brands. I have few brands of R9 series, Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire, and XFX.

Rank from prone overheat (brands that I owned), from the most - to the less.  Angry

1. Gigabyte
2. MSI
3. XFX
4. Sapphire
