Hi all!

I've been thinking about building a web-based Bitcoin monitoring service. I signed up for BitCoinReminder.com yesterday and although it's nice, it's pretty expensive, too (starting at 7c/email is excessive imo).

If I may, I'd like ask the community for their wish list of features on what a service like this would ideally do? That way, I can make sure I build something useful to others and not just myself.

The idea is simple: you set up triggers to alert you, via email or sms, when the BTC trading value shifts by a certain amount. For example:
- Alert when the value goes above or below $x
- Alert when the value shifts by more than x% in n Hours
- Alert when the trading volume is x% higher than the same time yesterday/last week/last month.

As I said, it's a pretty basic solution. So what features could be built into an app like this which would make it more useful for you? What's the hurdles that this app would need to overcome to make you want to sign up for it?

From a commercial perspective, I'm thinking of offering free email alerts up to a high value (say, 50 per month?) and a credit-based SMS system. Is this the right pricing model for you? Would you rather a monthly subscription which would be better value?

Thanks all for your time and any feedback you can offer!  Smiley
