Sure.

Basically - when mining you have a choice which coin to mine.  If you look at the chart, you can see which coin, when converted either into BTC or LTC (depending on which page you are looking at), will yield the largest number of coins as compared to mining the coin itself.

Basically, if the profitability is over 100%, you are better mining the alt coin, then trading at the indicated exchange as compared to mining the base coin directly. The chart shows you which coin is the MOST profitable, at any given time.

It allows you to see the profitability of wach coin listed.

Personally I use http://www.coinwarz.com to calculate my profitability, as it is much more UF Wink

I know.  CoinWarz is winning the war Smiley, although I personally find that site overwhelming (IMHO).  All I have is Litecoin based profitability which I think is still missing from CoinWarz.    However, for a more user friendly rendition of the CoinChoose data, look at http://www.wheretomine.com

ah I understand, its a different way of displaying mining profitability.  I was used to seeing percentages displayed like on a different site(dustcoin) that doesnt show crazy high percentages like coinwars and coinchoose.

Anyway...

Why the disparity between the 2 sites coinwars and coinchoose?  BBQCoin on 1 site is way up top and on another is way low.

Dustcoin was prior to the days of crazy high profitability.  My pricing differs a bit from CoinWarz - but not sure why else it would be different.

This is great. I just added the site to our service discussion forum: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=1196.0
